Who Erin is
Erin grew up in Cairns and trained as a classical singer at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music before winning Miss World Australia in 2013. Since then she has built a career in front of the camera, presenting cricket for the Pakistan Super League and Indian Premier League broadcasts and hosting live events across Australia and overseas. Her work involves frequent professional styling and travel.
Fifteen years in extensions
"I've actually been wearing hair extensions for over fifteen years of my life. You would never have known me without them. And I realised through experience that what I use on them actually makes or breaks them, more than anything else."
Extension lengths do not receive a direct supply of oil from the scalp. Washing, heat, friction and daily handling can leave them feeling dry or tangled. Suitable cleansing and conditioning can improve manageability; dryness should not automatically be blamed on one ingredient or product.

Erin's routine
The routine below uses shampoo, mask and conditioner. Follow each product’s directions and the care requirements for your extension method.
- 1. The Shampoo, at the scalp. Massage gently with fingertips, following the product directions and your stylist’s washing advice. Rinse thoroughly without rubbing the lengths together.
- 2. The Treatment Mask, mid-lengths to ends. Apply to the lengths, keeping clear of bonds and attachment points. Follow the directions for timing and rinsing. The conditioning formula helps soften and detangle dry lengths.
- 3. The Conditioner, last. Apply through the mid-lengths and ends, away from bonds. It helps soften and detangle the hair; rinse as directed.
