Hadrill Hair Care
The ritual
Are your products safe for hair extensions?
The range is formulated for natural hair and extensions. The Shampoo cleanses, while The Treatment Mask and The Conditioner soften and detangle the lengths. Keep mask and conditioner away from attachments and follow the aftercare requirements for your extension system.
Which extension methods are the products suitable for?
Suitability depends on the extension hair and attachment system. Check your supplier’s aftercare instructions for tapes, bonds, wefts, clip-ins or halos. Apply mask and conditioner through the lengths and ends, keeping them clear of attachment points.
What are the products free from?
The collection is protein-free, sulphate-free, paraben-free, keratin-free and silicone-free. Check each product’s full ingredient list and follow the care requirements for your extensions.
Why protein-free?
Our formulas use plant oils and other conditioning ingredients to soften and detangle the lengths, without added proteins or keratin. The complete formula matters when choosing care for your extensions. Read our protein-free shampoo guide.
In what order do I use the three products?
Use The Shampoo first. On treatment days, follow with The Treatment Mask, then The Conditioner. On other wash days, go straight from shampoo to conditioner.
- The Shampoo: cleanse at the scalp, rinse gently through the lengths.
- The Treatment Mask: apply through the mid-lengths and ends for five to ten minutes, then rinse. Use once or twice a week as directed.
- The Conditioner: apply through the mid-lengths and ends for one to two minutes, then rinse.
Keep mask and conditioner away from attachments. Read the routine guide.
How often should I use The Treatment Mask?
Once or twice a week suits most hair. If your hair is dry, blonde, textured or you wear extensions, lean towards twice.
Are the products suitable for coloured or blonde hair?
The range is formulated for colour-treated hair and extensions. Use the amount and routine that suit your hair, following the product directions and your colourist’s advice.
Are they suitable for all hair types?
The range is formulated for natural hair and extensions, including colour-treated and dry hair. The amount of product and frequency of treatment should suit your hair’s texture, density and condition.
Should I buy the products individually or as The Trio?
Each product is available on its own. The Trio brings The Shampoo, The Treatment Mask and The Conditioner together in one presentation box.
Our hair
Quality, sourcing and colour
What is Hadrill Hair made from?
100% double-drawn Remy human hair. Remy hair has cuticles aligned from root to tip; it still needs careful washing, brushing and storage. Double drawing removes shorter hairs to give fullness through the lengths and ends. See how our hair is made.
Is the hair ethically sourced?
Yes. Our hair comes from donors who chose to sell it, gave clear consent and were paid a fair price. Emilly Hadrill audits the factory in person, and it works to a Code of Conduct we set. Read our ethical standard.
Is the hair straight, wavy or curly?
Hadrill Hair has a natural body wave. Air dried it falls in a loose wave; blow-dried it sits straight. The slight wave gives body, blends with most hair types, holds a curl well and still styles straight easily.
Which colours are available?
Shade options vary by product. Open the product page to see the available colour names and photographs, or use our colour match service for help. Check your match before any colouring or customisation.
Can I colour the extensions?
Only to go darker or to tone, using a semi-permanent or demi-permanent colour with no more than a 1.5% developer, and always on a test strand first. Never bleach or lighten extension hair. Colouring is at your own risk and sits outside the warranty.
How long will the hair last?
Hadrill’s tape and weft guides give a typical hair lifespan of nine to twelve months with the recommended care. Clip-in and Halo lifespan varies with frequency of wear, washing and styling. A refit interval is different from the lifespan of the hair itself. Read our guide to extension lifespan.
Clip-ins and Halo
Wearing and caring for them
What is in the 8 Piece Clip-In Box Set?
Eight wefts in graduated widths, with 150 grams of hair in total at 22 inches. Each weft has pressure-sensitive clips with a silicone stopper. Your stylist can help you choose the amount of hair and placement for your desired result. See the set and its full contents.
What is the Halo and who is it for?
The Clip In Halo is a single 22 inch weft supported by a fine wire around the crown and five small clips. It adds temporary length and volume without positioning eight separate pieces. Check that the fit feels comfortable and remove it before sleeping.
How do I get clip-ins to blend with my own hair?
Check the shade and placement first. Your hairdresser can assess whether trimming or layering the extensions would help them blend with your cut. Confirm the match before cutting or customising the set.
How do I wash clip-ins?
Wash clip-ins when needed, following the directions supplied with the set. Use the recommended shampoo and conditioning routine, detangle gently and let the hair dry fully before storing. Remove clip-ins before sleeping or swimming.
How should I store them?
Brushed, dry, and flat or hanging in our Clip In Storage Bag, away from sunlight. The Extension Holder keeps the wefts tidy while you style.
Can I heat style them?
Use a heat protectant and keep styling tools at or below 160 degrees Celsius, following the care instructions for your set. Style only when the hair is fully dry and keep hot tools away from clips and attachments.
Salon methods
Tape, weft and bonded extensions
Do you sell tape-in and weft extensions?
The range includes Invisible Tape, Classic Tape and Miracle Weft extensions. These methods require fitting and removal by a trained stylist. Salon professionals can visit the Hadrill professional store for trade products and account information.
How often do tapes and wefts need moving up?
Every six to eight weeks, depending on how fast your hair grows. Regular maintenance protects your own hair by refreshing the attachment before natural shedding leaves it carrying too much weight.
Can I fit or remove them myself?
Salon-fitted extensions should be applied and removed by a trained stylist. The removal product and technique must suit the specific attachment system; do not pull or force attachments out.
How long after fitting can I wash my hair?
Wait 48 to 72 hours before the first wash so the adhesive fully bonds. Then follow the ritual, keeping The Treatment Mask and The Conditioner below the tapes or bonds.
